Painful redish bump on lips? Not very big... but is this a plugged hair follicle or ?

Sometimes i get plugged hair follicles down there but this time its a litttle larger.. maybe its the same thing? i recently had with someone, then come to find out my friend had with the same guy, she got tested, and didnt have an std. does this mean theres a posiblility i dont have one either???
