Hey metal players! How can I find harmonics for guitar? (I think that's what it's called)?

there are harmonics on the 5th fret 7th fret 9th fret and 12th and then from there the same frets above the octave (the harmonics on those frets can be heard the best. they are all over the neck though). there are those harmonics and then anti harmonics or pitch harmonics. all you do is when you strum the string, you hit the string with your thumb as well. not to much though. if you use to much of your thumb the not will be muted. i hope this helped
