Are we and the UN doing enough to STOP the Genocide in Darfur Region?

There are many nations on this Earth suffering from genocide and homicidal dictators, but unless they've got some oil bubbling under their feet, the USA does not give a fat rat's about them. The United Nations (a total misnomer) is an impotent tool where the mouthpieces of various nations gather to see who can outshout each other. It has always been that way and Kofi Annan did the best he could with it. After all, when has anyone listened to what an intelligent man of color has to say?
