Why do most conservatives seem to be against immigration reform?

I follow laws all day long. Why should they get a break? and confusing immigration reform with illegal immigration enforcement says a lot about what you think about all those who have done it legally. I don't care if you want to hire them or build them houses,just as long as you are responsible for them when the cost rises because once they are here they can easily hook in to benefits that should not be theirs.
