Do i have to boil DRIED san pedro cactus or can i just eat all of it?

I ordered some san pedro cactus and im pretty sure it's going to be dry so can i just eat it whole? Or will i still have to remove the spines and outer layer? Is there any special way of cutting it when it's dry? thank you
