Old black and white movie?

Ok so last christmas eve, late at night, I was watching this movie, it was a clic black and white, I believe Ginger Rogers may have been in it but I'm not sure. The plot went somthing like this: A woman finds a baby on her doorstep and takes it in as her own, a man doesnt believe that she found it on her doorstep and keeps telling her to just own up to the fact that it's her baby. At one point the man (who is the owner of a dept store) tries to take a faulty toy duck back to his dept store to exchange it for a working one. In the movie he also takes the woman to a New Year's Eve party where he tells everyone she is swedish and doesn't speak a word of english. In the end, the man and woman end up getting together. Anyone know the name of this movie?
