Agnostics= is atheism irrational?

I am a Orhtodox Christian and former Agnostic but the question for you agnostics is do you beleive that athiesm and it's denial of the existance of God is as irrational as my affirming since neither of us can produce a method to test for God- since God is beyound human comprehension.
